The contents of 17 β‐estradiol (E2), androgen, luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle‐stimulating hormone (FSH), 17 α, 20β‐dihydroxyprogesterone (17 α, 20β‐DHP), progesterone (PROG), adrenocorticotropichormone (ACTH), cortisol, growth hormone (GH), and prolactin (PRL) in the serum of Japanese flounder were determined by enzymelinked immunosorbent assays (ELISA). Briefly, the 10 hormones were measured using kits (Shanghai huding Co. Ltd., China) by the doubleantibody sandwich ELISA.
